Latest News: Paradise Radio Yacht Club 2015 Presentations

Club Background

The club was formed in 2006 by a group of IOM sailors looking for a venue that offered fair sailing breezes which allowed all sailors the opportunity of competing fairly.

After spending some months looking at a large number of different venues Emerald Lakes was chosen. The lake, fed from the Nerang River is free
from weed with the sailing area having a north/south aspect.

The club’s aim is to generate an atmosphere that fosters a positive environment for all members and to generally promote the sport of radio yachting wherever possible.

Class of Yachts

We sail International One Meters, International Ten Rater class yachts, International Micro Magics, Dragon Force RG65’s & International RC Laser.

Venue Clip

PRYC 10R - Video Clip Video clip taken and produced by Rick Luhrmann with very good drone equipment. Although it was taken on a Wednesday "practice day" and there are only a few boats, it is pretty unique and showcases both Emerald lakes as a venue and the 10R class well. Rick did it of his own volition as a try out of his new camera and drone.
